Ajay Sachdeva is a commercial real estate developer, healthcare entrepreneur, and former technology executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning commercial real estate development, healthcare operations, information technology, business intelligence, and corporate management.

As Managing Partner of Astra Development, Ajay leads the acquisition, financing, development, leasing, and construction of healthcare, medical office, retail, and build-to-suit commercial developments. His responsibilities include site selection, financial underwriting, capital structuring, due diligence, entitlement coordination, construction management, lease negotiations, and long-term asset management. He works closely with healthcare providers, architects, engineers, contractors, lenders, municipalities, and investors to deliver projects that create lasting value.

In addition to commercial real estate, Ajay is an owner and operator of multiple successful dental practices, providing him with firsthand knowledge of healthcare operations, physician workflow, patient experience, facility planning, and medical practice management. This unique perspective enables him to develop healthcare facilities that align with both operational requirements and long-term investment objectives.

Before entering commercial real estate and healthcare, Ajay built a distinguished career in the technology sector, holding progressive leadership positions with several Fortune 500 companies. For 13 years at Time Warner Cable, he served in senior Information Technology and Business Intelligence leadership roles, ultimately at the Director level, leading enterprise technology initiatives, data analytics, strategic planning, and cross-functional teams. Prior to that, he spent five years with Xerox Corporation in technology leadership roles focused on enterprise systems, software development, and process optimization.

Ajay’s current development activities are focused on healthcare, medical office, ambulatory care, retail, and mixed-use projects throughout Indiana and the Carolinas. His development philosophy emphasizes disciplined underwriting, thoughtful design, collaborative partnerships, operational excellence, and sustainable long-term investment performance.

Yash Thind is a co-founder and principal of Astra Development Group, where he leads the company’s real estate development, investment, and asset management initiatives. He founded Astra with a straightforward philosophy: successful real estate development is built on disciplined planning, thoughtful execution, financial accountability, and lasting relationships.

After more than two decades leading complex engineering and technology programs, Yash transitioned into commercial real estate development, bringing an analytical, solutions-driven approach to each investment. His technical background and operating experience allow him to evaluate opportunities methodically, manage complex projects, anticipate risks, and coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, lenders, municipalities, tenants, and investment partners.

Over the past several years, Yash has developed experience across the full real estate lifecycle — from market evaluation, land acquisition, due diligence, financing, and entitlement through design, construction, leasing, property operations, and capital events. His portfolio includes the construction and ongoing management of dental office properties in the Chicago market, participation in multiple commercial projects throughout North and South Carolina, and the development of The Shoppes at Holliday Farms, a high-quality, multi-tenant retail development in Zionsville, Indiana.
